0. Get SEO Texts
If you already have SEO content, use it.
Otherwise, generate it with ChatGPT or write it yourself. The only requirement is that the content is useful for your readers. The workflow starts with finished copy.
1. Define Target URLs
Target URLs are simply the pages you want to promote.
If your website is small, choose them yourself. You usually already know which pages matter most.
If the website is large or unfamiliar, export the URLs from your sitemap or a crawler such as Screaming Frog and ask ChatGPT to identify the pages worth promoting.
2. Create ChatGPT Project
Install the [ChatGPT desktop app](https://chatgpt.com/download/). This is the correct app if the top-left corner allows switching between Work and Codex.
There are many ways to use ChatGPT, but this setup is currently the most powerful because it lets Codex work directly with your local project files.
Create a project, follow the installation steps, and check that the project folder contains your Target URLs and Word files. If these folders exist, the installation succeeded.
Codex will ask for your Target URLs and then for your Word files. Provide both and wait for the installation to finish.
3. Review Word Files
Open the linked copies and spot-check the links in context. Remove anything awkward, misleading, or repetitive.
This final review is faster and safer than checking CSV files or raw HTML.
4. Word to HTML
Paste the final linked text into [Word to HTML](https://word-to-html.n-g.be/) and choose SEO texts mode. It preserves the links, headings, paragraphs, and approved formatting.
This produces consistent HTML every time and greatly reduces formatting mistakes.
5. Paste into CMS
Paste the HTML into the CMS and check the published or preview page on desktop and mobile. Confirm that the links work, the text is readable, and the number of internal links still feels natural. For a wider pre-publish check, use the review and finalisation guide.
