Does this connect to my Power BI file?
No. It reads text and returns text. It never opens a .pbix file, connects to a model or evaluates a formula. You can supply table names and relationships, but those details are not verified. Check DAX in Power BI Desktop or DAX Studio, and M in Power Query.
DAX or Power Query (M) — which one should I use?
Power Query shapes data during refresh, before it is loaded. DAX measures calculate over the model and respond to filters and slicers; calculated columns and tables are generally computed during refresh. Use M for source preparation and DAX measures for results that must react to report filters. This tool does not convert between them.
Can I trust the formula it writes?
Review the formula, its placement and its assumptions, then test it against your own data and expected totals. The answer comes from an AI model, not a DAX or M engine. Context labels are explanations, not verified facts. DAX Formatter handles formatting; Power BI Desktop and DAX Studio let you check DAX against a real model. Power Query is where you check M and refresh behavior.
Is what I paste private?
Inputs are sent to the OpenAI API to produce an answer. This site does not save inputs or answers. Do not paste credentials, personal data or confidential model details. Recognizable credentials are blocked, but that check cannot identify every secret.
