Query summary

Paste a query to see what it returns, then follow each clause in the breakdown below.

The dialect is detected when the syntax is clear. You can always change it.

Can I trust a converted query?

Review it first. Conversion uses a language model; the SQL is not parsed, validated or executed here. The result includes a list of changes and any constructs without a direct equivalent, so you can check what was rewritten before using it.

Does this run my query?

No. It writes, explains and converts SQL. It has no database connection, so there is nothing for it to run against. Copy the query into your own client once you have read it.

Which SQL dialect does it write?

The one you pick: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server (T-SQL), BigQuery, SQLite, or ClickHouse. When explaining or converting a query, distinctive syntax can select the dialect automatically; you can override it. The dialect changes real things — date functions, pagination, quoting — so picking the wrong one gives you a query that will not parse.

Is what I paste private?

It is sent to the OpenAI API to produce the answer and it is not saved on this site. Unlike the Meeting Transcriber and the Background Remover, this tool does not run a model on your device, so treat it as you would any cloud service: no credentials, no personal data.
